Your blood contains plasma (the liquid) and platelets (cells rich in growth factors). A small sample is taken and spun in a specialised centrifuge to concentrate the platelets within a fibrin matrix. The PRF is then injected into target areas to encourage cell renewal, collagen and elastin production, and improved tissue quality.
We use the Arthrex® Horizon centrifuge system for consistent, high-quality PRF preparation.
Skin rejuvenation: fine lines, crepiness, dullness, under-eye quality
Texture and tone: hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, post-inflammatory marks, uneven tone
Hair support: early thinning, reduced density, increased shedding
General biostimulation: a regenerative approach rather than instant filling
PRF delivers concentrated growth factors to the scalp to improve blood supply to follicles and encourage healthier growth. Many patients notice reduced shedding and improved thickness over a course.
Injected across the face (including under-eyes, forehead and cheeks), PRF stimulates collagen and elastin, thickens the dermis and improves brightness and texture. It can also be paired with microneedling.
By supporting healing and modulating inflammation, PRF can soften the appearance of acne scars, improve overall tone and help reduce areas of hyperpigmentation in suitable candidates.
Procedure time: 30–45 minutes
Course: Skin: 1–3 sessions (4–6 weeks apart) • Hair: 3–4 sessions (≈4 weeks apart)
Onset: Gradual; changes often from 6–12 weeks (hair 3–4+ months)
Maintenance: Every 6–12 months
Downtime: Mild redness/tenderness or pinpoint bruising 24–48 hours
Medical consultation: History, assessment and goal setting.
Blood draw & spin: PRF prepared in the Arthrex® Horizon system.
Treatment: PRF injected where needed (option to combine with microneedling).
Review & maintenance: Progress check and top-up plan agreed.
Keep areas clean and dry on the day; avoid makeup for 24 hours.
No strenuous exercise, saunas, hot baths or alcohol for 24 hours.
Avoid anti-inflammatory painkillers on the day unless medically necessary (they can blunt the healing response); use paracetamol if needed.
SPF 50+ daily on treated skin; avoid harsh actives (retinoids/acids/chemical peels) for at least 2 weeks.
PRF forms a fibrin matrix that helps retain and slowly release growth factors, supporting longer activity compared with standard PRP preparations. PRF also increases platelet concentration
Yes—it's autologous. Side effects are usually mild and short-lived (redness, bruising, tenderness).
Skin: typically 1–3 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart. Hair: 3–4 sessions about 4 weeks apart. We’ll tailor your plan.
Skin: improvements often appear from 6–12 weeks, consolidating over 3–4 months.
Hair: expect visible benefits from 3–4 months, continuing with maintenance.
